Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to serve as a technical lead for our cloud initiatives. This role is responsible for driving cloud migration strategies, conducting readiness assessments, and executing complex deployments within the AWS ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Leadership & Migration: Lead the strategy and planning for cloud migration, including suitability assessments and business case development. Technical focus includes AWS services such as Redshift, S3, EC2, CloudFormation, and Kinesis.
DevOps & Automation: Design and implement robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to deploy multiple applications using Jenkins.
Mentorship: Provide high-level technical guidance and professional mentoring to junior development staff.
System Monitoring: Create automated event-handling solutions and monitoring alerts utilizing Unix shell scripts and Python REST APIs.
Data Analytics & Visualization: Perform deep-dive technical analytics using R, Python, and Oracle, and architect sophisticated operational dashboards using D3.js.
Agile Project Management: Collaborate effectively with technical and functional teams, tracking project milestones via Jira within an Agile framework.
Work Environment & Requirements
Location: Based in Weddington, NC, with potential for work at various unanticipated client sites across the United States.
Travel: Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to travel and/or relocate to meet client and project needs.
